AL expands to North America
The competitive League of Legends scene in North America is pretty strong and we want to be a part of it. So we decided to spread our wings and expand to the states. 
AbsoluteLegends will now have a competitive League of Legends team lead by 
PhantomL0rd, who got 1st in the North American SoloQ ladder earlier today.
But who are the rest of the members in this team? Lapaka, previous member of Curse, has joined to fill the role as jungler. PhantomL0rd has announced open tryouts to the community to fill the few remaining spots. He will be looking through each player's best submitted replay, watching for reaction, mechanical and strategic skills. Exciting! We will keep you updated with the progress of the team.

| Hey everyone. My name is James "PhantomL0rd" Varga and I am very excited to be the leader of AbsoluteLegends's new North American team. I have been playing LoL as a casual player since March of 2010 and really was not all that interested in the game to begin with. I attended the WCG 2010 Finals with my friends, where HotshotGG became famous, and left impressed with LoL's professional scene. A few months later I got into my first high Elo game with HSGG and the excitement and nervousness fueled me to want more. I began spending more time on the game and eventually developed my well known Revive/TP Karthus build that helped me to get first page in season 1. I have mastered the role of AP mid and will be fulfilling that role for the team. My favorite champion is of course Karthus, rocking out with the Phantom skin ^__^. |
| Why did you decide to create a new team? |
| I decided to create the team because I felt I could do a better job after the experiences I learned from forming, managing, and leading team v8 to IPL Atlantic City and IEM NYC. WetDream approached me offering his support and we partnered up to make this all happen. I am so very proud of the foundation he and AbsoluteLegends have given me and the team. I'm 100% sure we will do well. |
| You will hold tryouts to gather players for new AL NA team, can you tell us some more about it? |
| Lapaka and I will be hosting tryouts giving everyone in the community a shot at going pro. The first stage will be done through an application listed on the AbsoluteLegends's Forum. We will overlook every single submission and form a pool of players we feel are best qualified. Additional stages will commence and the remaining filtration stages for our last members will be announced and streamed. |
| What kind of people will you be looking for? |
| We are looking for individuals who really have the heart, dedication, commitment, maturity and drive to becoming a professional e-sport League of Legend player. There is no Elo requirement, only the need for an application to be submitted on the forum. Everyone will have a chance to prove themselves. |
| What are your plans for the team and cooperation with AL? |
| Our plans for the team are simple. We will do our absolute best to form a well valued, highly entertaining, professional e-sport League of Legend team. We hope to interact with the community as much as possible and make our fans proud to cheer us on.
